This artisan, flour sack tea towel is a great gift for lovers of art, cooking, or and pomegranates! They are patterned with block-printed pomegranates (open and closed designs) in a deep ruby red. This towel is printed from two original block stamps that I carved by hand.

Block printing is a unique art form with multiple steps. I start by sketching an original design and then transfer that design onto a rubber block. I then use tools to carve negative space into the rubber block to turn the design into a stamp. After the stamp is complete, I roll it with special printing ink and finally press into a high-quality printing paper or fabric for the final piece. Due to the hand printing process, variations in color and saturation are expected, but I make every effort to keep your finished product as close as possible to the photos. The slight vintage/distressed look of a block print is also expected and adds a unique charm!

These towels are 100% ring spun natural, unbleached cotton, 18x28", lint free, safe for food preparation, and machine washable. They have been pre-washed and heat-set by me, and will not shrink or bleed with additional washing. (I recommend cold water and mild detergent for best results).
